I have been looking for an organizer/travel kit for my girly stuff for a long time. I know I did say that I was 34% vain but after some thinking and looking at the mirror, I did see that I have to start getting serious about taking care of my skin. I mean, I am not getting any younger. I do spend alot of time under the sun which can cause damage and pre-mature aging. I no longer have the clear flawless skin I used to have when I was 12 years old. Most of the time I look like someone who lives in the back wood forests. I guess if I was in a jungle, it really didn’t matter as much but I’m in an suburban area and there is a level of ‘urbanity’ expected.

Anyway, I rediscovered these different things that I bought last year for the trip to a tropical paradise which I ended up not using and I realized that they have an expiration date(duh). It’ll be a waste not to use them. I remember throwing out a full set of Signature A make-up which was barely used, it expired- all the while I thought I can keep it forever. It’s also recommended to change your make-up set every three years or so. The reason behind it is because bacteria can grow in them and may cause skin problems. With very sensitive skin like mine, I am not taking any chances. It’s summer time so anywhere I travel to I should be bringing sun protection with me.
I stumbled upon this sleek black travel bag and I’m very happy with it. I bought it from Wilson’s Leather at the Rehoboth Outlets, Delaware for $16(marked down from $40 and tax free!). It has a long shoulder strap that make’s it easy to carry around. It has all these little garter hoops that makes it easy to organize the little bottles. It has enough space to accomodate the powders and what-nots.
So what do I put in it? Oil of Olay moisterizer(SPF 15 and SPF 30), Loreal True Match foundation, Physicians Formula Mineral Wear Matte Finishing loose powder, Borghese bronzer and awesome rectractable brush, Clinique Happy Heart, lipstick and eye shadow, hand and nail lotion, sunglasses.
Care to tell what’s in your girly bag?

Hi tina,
I suddenly remembered all those facial creams which I had to throw away without being used even once. What a waste.
What I have in my kikay bag are toothbrush, toothpaste, face powder, blush, lip balm, eyebrow pencil and lipstick.
Now that you mention it, gee, I have to start using moisturiser.
btw, I love your compact yet functional kikay bag.
Hi Soloops,
Thanks. You should use your facial creams even if you have to use them on elbows and knees ;).
I’m glad I was able to convince you to use moisturizer :).
I didn’t mention tooth brush and tooth paste, hahaha.
hi, my homework is done — check out my site! have a great weekend!

Hi Ate Marie,
Thanks. It’s ok that you have alot of basics, the finished product is pretty
sorry, but I’d like to know how you feel about the Loreal True Match Foundation? I have tried several different types and have recently wondered about that particular one. Please? Also, my travel bag includes: Q-tips, travel-size deodorant, my Norell perfume, Oil of Olay (yes!) moisturizer, tooth stuff (natch), hand sanitizer and a topical vaginal cream. For some reason when I travel I tend to get ichy? Strange, but an over-the-counter topical itch product seems to work. Maybe its the different (strange) soap that I use. Of course all my make up is in a different bag! Loreal Matte Finish, Cover Girl translucent powder, Loreal kohl pencil (since taken from the market, big BOO), Ultra blush with WalMart brand retractable brush and Maxfactor Mascara. So simple, but effective. thanks

Hi Darlene,
Thanks for comments letting us know what’s on your girly bags
I like the Loreal True Match Foundation, I had to buy another one(same brand) in a darker shade because I got more tanned. According to make-up experts(will give more details later), we should use one that is a tad darker than the present skin tone. And they say to only put the foundation on the “problem areas” and blend well. It’s a no-no to wear it like a mask. Then Tyra Banks also mentioned that model’s secret to powder is using it just on the T-zone(forehead and nose) which does get oily. For some reason my eyes get itchy if I put anything on them and I just start scratching. I’m experimenting on my face for a month now and will let you know. About the itch, maybe it’s because when we travel there isn’t much air circulation down there? Or may you’re right about the soap.
