As we passed by the sports section in Walmart, I was jokingly whining at my husband and daughter that I was the only one in the family who didn’t have a bike because my daughter received a bike for her birthday.
When it was time for us to go to the counter, the Walmart employees were walking bikes to the front. I didn’t pay much attention but my husband said that they just announced they are giving a rollback on the bikes that were by the counter. It still didn’t register to me. I just thought that they were on sale because they were cheapo bikes or there were something wrong with them that’s why they are being marked down.
My husband said that they are by SCHWINN, a famous name in bikes and he urged that I at least take a look at them because they have a good price on them. I was still skeptical as I looked for damages because I really don’t have any clue on the brands of bikes except BMX. So I tried one out and it looked good. So I said: “sure let’s take it home since you said that SCHWINN is a good brand.”We walked out with a brand new 21 speed mountain bike by SWHINN specifically designed for women for $48! I didn’t realize that it was such a good deal until we got home and I Googled it up. We got it for 1/3 the price! And for a Shwinn from the frame to the aloy wheels with rust proof spokes, it’s a steal! Sweeeet! It rides very well and we have been biking for the last two weekends at the Eastern Shore. I am enjoying my cool bike! I look forward to biking weekends with my family.
I looked at the bike’s welding job closely and they were very refined, a sign of good craftmanship. As a child, I used to watch a welder do his craft. He showed that neat and almost seamless joints show good quality in steel work.
It’s definitely a MyGoodFind! (Well, my husband’s that is.)
