I have been shopping online since I came to the US in 2000. It was such a thrill at first to be able to order something from the Internet and it comes in the mail or delivered by the FedEx or UPS guys. I found it such a “high tech” experience to make orders online by using a “cart” then checking out by paying with a credit card(my boss trusted me with the company’s American Express). It’s a good thing that I was doing the shopping for the company. It was great to just concentrate on the specs and prices then not have to think about where the money will come from to pay for the equipment I was ordering.
Even if I have been shopping online for quite a while now, this is the first time I have ever ordered shoes from an online retailer. I guess it’s because I was so fixated with getting deals from DSW(an shoe warehouse) for the past years. I was kinda put off with their system getting hacked and all the personal information of their clients stolen.
I bought this pair as part of my birthday package last month. I have been wearing sneakers everywhere and everyday in the past years since I became a stay-at-home-mom. During warm weather season, I usually get by with my flip-flops. But I realized that I couldn’t always be using my sneakers and flip-flops if I wanted to be taken seriously during some occasions. I wanted to have a pair of shoes that is dressy at the same time comfortable. A versatile pair that I can wear with a dress, skirt, a pair of trousers or jeans. I have heard of some famous podiatrist who turned into a shoe designer for women who wants comfort and style from their shoes. But I also heard that those shoes cost $300+ per pair which is way over my ideal price range for shoes.
When I hear the words comfort, sturdy and support associated with shoes, I start imagining shoes that would make anyone look frumpy and stumpy! So I started researching for comfort shoes with a bit style and I landed on Amazon.com. I was really impressed on how easy it was to look for the style and color I was looking for. I ordered a pair that was different from the one pictured above from the same Artisan Collection by Clark Shoes. I really loved the design and fine details of the shoes but the thin strap felt a bit flimsy, I guess it’s because I think of running in them. So I sent them back by following the directions from the Amazon website. I didn’t pay a cent for shipping it back, just printed the label and gave it to our postman right from our doorstep(free pickup from USPS). The next week, I received my refund which was reflected on the debit card account. This prompted me to order another pair from the same collection and it was perfect!
I really like the color and the classic design(simple yet elegant). It has a bit of heel(2 1/2 inches) to it that gives me added height
which I need. They are so comfortable and I feel secure with the support it offers by the well shaped sturdy heels. They are so well made and deserving of being called ‘Artisan Collection.’ I am so picky with shoes and I would rather have 1 good quality pair than have 4 low quality pairs. It’s really important to have a pair you can trust that was made with your ankles, feet and whole person’s health in mind. We just think that shoes are shoes but just imagine breaking a heel and causing you to loose your balance then have a broken ankle or worse in the process.
I was going to link up this particular shoes from Amazon but I couldn’t find it in their site any more. I did however find it at Piperlime.com . It’s called “Divine” from the Artisan Collection by Clark Shoes. I used to just look at Naturalizer for these types of shoes but I have added Clark Shoes on my list.
They are great for both career women or for stay-at-home-moms, you can run in them while catching a train or a toddler.
