Service @ Ourisman Honda of Laurel

ilovemyhonda.jpgI am back from having the mini van serviced at the Ourisman Honda of Laurel where we bought the van. It got the much needed oil change since the indicator was nagging me to have it done by a negative % oil life message. I love intelligent cars because they make up for our memory lapses :) .

At first it was a bit confusing because I went to the usual parking area for vehicles to be serviced and when I walked in, the guys inside looked at me like I was some alien. So I told them that I was there for an oil change. They told me that I have to go to the service area in the new part of the building. Ah, no wonder their were like 3 men hanging out by the door. Congratulations to Maryland’s Team @ the Solar Decathlon 2007!

The Solar Decathlon winners were announced today and among 20  deserving universities chosen world wide to compete by the US Department of Energy, University of Maryland won 2nd place beating Cornell, MIT, Duke and other universities! I should have known about this earlier this week so that I could have at least made my way to Washington DC to cheer for MD! Hunan Manor in Columbia, Maryland

chinese6.jpg I’ve been meaning to set-up a food blog but I decided to put it in this blog since maintaining different blogs is a full time deal. My husband and I are usually frugal with alot of things by average working American standards but when it comes to food we look for high quality with reasonable prices. We enjoy all sorts of dishes brought from all over the world to our highly diverse area.

One of our favorite restaurants is Hunan Manor in Columbia, Maryland(about 20 minutes drive), they have excellent food and have very attentive wait staff. Very comfortable and welcoming ambiance completes a wonderful dining experience. An added bonus for the kids: a huge salt-water aquarium. We couldn’t ask for more for the reasonable prices they offer. We recently took a family friend for a long overdue birthday treat.
